What does a career coach offer?
Coaching adds a dimension to career research and planning. Coaching keeps you accountable to move through career identification and job search planning to establishing goals and fulfilling them. Each person has unique qualities, personality, experience, and talents that will fit one or several careers. Kathleen McCormack is trained to help you identify which will best support your values, meet your life goals, utilize your skills and fit your strengths at this point in time. Once a career or other option is chosen, exploration begins with job and life design activities. Coaching is flexible but accountable. Most clients contract for three sessions that include testing and telephone coaching after the testing is completed and reviewed. Others choose Career Services Unlimited self-guided workbooks and may contract for some e-mail coaching as they go along. Career Services Unlimited offers individual coaching to explore, identify, blue print, and initiate career and life changes. The process is designed to explore proven roads to a satisfying life, using focused methods to set a course, finance your dream and achieve it. Based on life values, plus interest and skills testing, coach Kathleen McCormack will start you on a journey to your tomorrow. After exploring careers and interests, we will develop research, networking methods, planning techniques, finances, problem-solving, and blue printing to successfully transition. “I was chronically unhappy at work but I couldn’t face looking for another job. I lacked energy and I figured I wouldn’t find anything better anyway. I was referred to Kathleen McCormack by a friend. Using the VALUES© system, within three visits, I was more energized and hopeful. Once I developed a new vocational goal and a job search plan, I found employment that meets my requirements and utilizes my skills” |
